The Process of Transforming Aluminium into Value Added Products
The manufacturing process at Alcom begins with raw materials in the form of primary ingots, reclaimed ingots and in-house scrap being melted in the melters. Here hardeners in the form of silicon, manganese, iron etc are added to attain the desired alloy composition based on customers needs .Samples are then taken and tested by spectrometer to ensure that the final composition meets international AA standards or more stringent internal standards. The melt is then finally degassed and filtered before being transformed into aluminium reroll coils at the continuous casting lines

The rerolls are rolled down to sheet and foilstock at the cold rolling mill and the product is then either sent to the foil mills as foilstock or processed into finish goods at the cut to length machines, slitters and roll formers.

The foilstock is further rolled down at the foil rolling mills and processed at the various equipments such as slitters, doublers, separators and annealers to produce various foil products ranging from finstock to 6 micron light gauge

For the production of coated aluminium finstock, the bare aluminium finstock are coated at our continuous coil coating lines. The coated finstock will then go for final width slitting as specified by customers
Depending on type of paint, ANSC can offer 1 to 3 coat systems. Our product ranges from organic, inorganic and Hybrid type of paint, offering high corrosion resistant quality and good hydrophilic characteristic.
Coated aluminium finstock is a main component of the heat-exchanger in air-conditioners.
